Worcester Warriors battled back from a 13-point aggregate
deficit in the final five minutes to seize the Greene King IPA
Championship Title, and promotion to the Aviva Premiership.
The home team looked down and out as Bristol pulled clear, but
two late tries and two yellow cards meant the spoils were
Worcester's after a titanic struggle across 160 minutes between the
league's leading sides.
The second leg at Sixways finished 30-30, leaving Worcester the
overall winners by 59-58. Warriors now go up to the Premiership,
taking the place of London Welsh, while Bristol will prepare for a
seventh season in the Championship, and yet another promotion
attempt.
